With offices in both Hot Springs and Edgemont, we are the local newspaper for the communities of Hot Springs, Edgemont, Oelrichs and all parts in between. Distributed by mail to subscribers every Thursday and available on newsstands Wednesday evening, the weekly newspaper combines the history of the Hot Springs Star (est. July 10, 1886) and the Edgemont Herald-Tribune (Tribune 1923-1959/Herald Oct. 1, 1959-Nov. 30, 2017.) The publication was known as the Fall River County Herald from December 2017-2019. The Herald-Star is the legal newspaper for Fall River County, the City of Hot Springs, City of Edgemont and Town Board of Oelrichs, along with the Independent School Districts of Edgemont (#23-1,) Hot Springs (#23-2) and Oelrichs (#23-3.)
