Description

P.E.O. stands for Philanthropic Educational Organization, underscoring its mission to support
and empower women in their pursuit of higher education. Established by women for women to
support each other's educational and personal growth, not as a college-based sorority but as a
broader community. The organization's core activities involve providing educational financial assistance
like grants, loans, and scholarships to deserving women. Beyond financial aid, the group offers a supportive
community and framework for members to connect, motivate, and celebrate each other. P.E.O. is not a
political organization and does not require a specific religious affiliation, though a belief in God is
generally expected of members.
